![]() Once you dive into making espresso properly, with full control of your variables, it can be convenient and rewarding. Sage make some with great milk steamers so you can make a decent drink with a nespresso machine without the complexity of a full set up. Coffee isn’t great, and you have to really single out the single origin pods (Ethiopia for example) to get even slightly close to good tasting espresso. Yes, it hurts me when I see videos posted on this sub where a perfect shot from a Linea Mini is being pulled over a square of Hershey’s chocolate, but you know what? Those people probably just want chocolatey coffee without seeking out the perfectly tempered single origin bar that pairs best.įor convenience there really is no comparative solution to nespresso. I also care about things like grinding my own beef to improve flavor and texture and why guanciale is worth seeking out over pancetta for carbonara. Similarly, I care a great deal about things like using my immersion circulator to hold sweet potatoes at an elevated temperature for a few hours prior to roasting so that enzymes converting starch to sugar maximize Maillard reactions. ![]() There’s a difference between attempting to feed yourself with food acceptable in quality to most laypeople (Nespresso) and being an enthusiast in the minutiae of a hobby (a proper home espresso setup). Thank you for those who will answer and I am just a beginner in coffee making stuffs so things like pros and cons of both nespresso and espresso machine is very much appreciated and also some tips ![]() Hi this is my first time posting I just wanted to know which one is better I have a wirsh espresso machine that I think is good for beginners wanting an espresso machine but sometimes I find brewing a shot of espresso time consuming since I need to preheat the espresso machine tho it doesn’t take a long time but it still takes time also I need to measure and press the coffee grounds fill up the water tank and clean the espresso machine before using which is kinda messy and again time consuming, I usually use espresso for cold drinks like iced americano so I don’t usually froth milk so I think it will be fine using a machine without a milk frother and I have a coffee maker a keurig that takes pods so I find nespresso as a good machine since it takes pods and I think doesn’t require that much of a cleaning and preparation as an espresso machine does.
